FMOD FX is a multiplatform music and sound effect system/API.

The product is licensed under a few different licenses. Non-commercial users gets FMOD for free, while hobby developers has to pay a little more. Full commercial products has yet a higher price. None of the licenses are conciderd free software and the source code is not open.

Very handsome library for music and sound playback especially in games! Its easy to get started and there is a lot of features. The lib is not very lightweight though..
